"Mid-Wales driver Richard Morgan finished 59th in his Porsche 914 on the Clubmans Bulldog Rally. The car is fitted with a Volkswagen air-cooled engine and the former drag racer has previously experience in a range of cars including a Beetle. He claimed to be inspired by 1979 world champion Bjorn Waldegard's antics in a similar machine on the 1970 Monte Carlo Rally and bought the car in a "bag of bits" in California before restoring it."
